Herbal TisanesAn herbal tisane is an herbal infusion that is made with fresh or dried flowers, leaves, seeds and roots. An herbal tisane is made from anything OTHER THAN the leaves of the tea bush(Camellia sinensis). Boiling water is poured over the plant parts and they are steeped for a few minutes. Seeds and roots can also be boiled in the water on a stove and then strained. This is known as a decoction.
